ABOUT

I am an eternal student and am constantly learning more about the technologies I use and others that I don’t yet.  I enjoy working on personal projects, websites and building applications that I think would be useful to people and am constantly working to improve them.  Please see the PROJECTS page and my GitHub page to see code samples and what I’m currently working on.   Lately I have been building apps using React and Redux using Sagas and a small Python Flask backend.  My latest project is a simple and educational stock analysis app, Stock Glasses, which you can read about by clicking HERE.   Things I’ve been learning and studying recently include Writing Clean Code for the Browser, React Custom Hooks, Python, Docker Containerization, and Google Firebase.

As for a little background information on me, I have performed professionally as a musician (I play drums), and I love Classical music and Jazz, hiking in the mountains, traveling and eating good food.   I’ve worked as an entertainer on luxury cruise ships (with companies including Norwegian Cruise Line, Princess and Celebrity) and have traveled to many countries around the world being exposed to different cultures, customs and ideas.  My background has helped me as a programmer and I have a blog post about why that is here.  If you would like to know more about me or what I am working on, please feel free to contact me anytime by sending a message here.

You can view my LinkedIn Profile HERE.
